Every mall needs a Street Corner

The Street Corner concept fills a real need -- for both shoppers and mall employees. Street Corner offers them a place to buy those items that can't be found anywhere else in the mall. As well as a welcome spot to just take a break...from the shopping or the job. The Street Corner store is where people can pop in for a soft drink or bag of chips, get a pack of cigarettes or buy a needed drug store item. And maybe find a novelty gift item for the kids. Street Corner Stores are available for malls and most other high traffic locations. We are currently seeking qualified investors to create and operate Street Corner News stores to fill the nationwide demand.

In 1988 Dan McCabe and Peter La Colla opened their first concept store at West Rigde Mall, Topeka, KS. During this time McCabe and La Colla enhanced their concept and design. Following the success of the Topeka, KS store they opened stores at Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan, Kansas, and at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. Their idea was received so well that they turned their business into a nationwide franchise program in 1995. We are the "Convenience Store in the Mall" and offer the things that mall employees and mall patrons want during their shopping experiences; Aspirin, Fountain & Bottled Drinks, Coffee & Tea, Lottery, Snacks, Candy & Gum, Fax & Copy services, Cigarettes & Cigars, Souvenirs & gifts, Office & Desk supplies and other incidentals. Wide storefronts, lighting and specially designed cases draw the customers off the mall streets and into the stores by displaying familiar products in a bold and inviting way. That requires opening up the store as much as possible, breaking down the barriers from where the mall ends and the store begins so that customers flow into the stores just as if they were walking along a path.

Our franchisees find that the high traffic location and open store design attract mall shoppers who just need some directions to a certain store ... and who often buy something while they're there. Some stores even have a news channel running continuously to a TV set to attract passers-by. And the sales opportunity is continuous. Not only when mall traffic is high, but from all those mall employees who may be there 40 hours a week. Street Corner mini-convenience stores available for malls and most populated high traffic areas. We are currently seeking qualified investors to create and operate Street Corner News stores to fill the nationwide demand.
