The franchisee operates a “play center” involving nontherapeutic sensory motor child-parent play programs, birthday parties, theme parties, and story line parties. The franchise caters to infants and children from birth through 4 years old. Parent participation is mandatory in all of the play programs. Gymboree’s early childhood music program, Gymboree Music, is offered for children in specified age ranges, using specially designed equipment and program aids. Gymboree’s mobile play program, Gymboree On The Go, brings a play program to certain institutions with children, like preschools and day care centers.
