The Entrepreneur Authority and Veteran Franchise Centers Form Alliance with the International Franchise Professionals Group

Parlin NJ, February 1, 2016 — The Entrepreneur Authority (TEA) and Veteran Franchise Centers (VFC) announced its strategic alliance with the International Franchise Professional Group (IFPG), making the organization now 800+ strong.

IFPG is a leading professional association that brings together members of the franchise industry — franchisors, franchise consultants, coaches, lenders and attorneys. The Entrepreneur Authority and Veteran Franchise Centers have a team of well-seasoned and experienced franchise consultants which will be a great addition to IFPG’s already existing group of consultants.

The Entrepreneur Authority was founded by former Accenture executive, David Omholt, in 2002. Omholt has consulted and/or brokered for major franchise brands such as AAMCO, Charles Schwab, Denny’s, Great Clips, Potbelly’s, and Radio Shack, as well as hundreds of others in every industry segment in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Omholt and many of the TEA Consultants are Certified Franchise Executives (CFEs), the highest accreditation in the franchise industry. TEA is the only franchise brokerage network to ever win the Chairman’s Award from the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD), the largest trade association advocating for franchisees.

Additionally, Omholt serves as President and Managing Consultant of Veteran Franchise Centers (VFC). VFC is a service for veterans looking to learn more about the franchise buying process and military-friendly options in the market. All VFC consultants have many years of experience placing candidates into the right franchise concepts and are known and the franchise industry’s “dream team.”

The IFPG, founded in 2012 by entrepreneur Don Daszkowski, was formed to help franchise professionals communicate more effectively, network and collaborate with one another. All members of the group support the same goal —to create successful new franchisees.

IFPG members receive immediate access to industry experts, unprecedented networking opportunities and best-in-class professional education that includes virtual round tables and webinars on critical topics such as sales and development or marketing and PR.

“We are very excited to be working with David and his team at the Entrepreneur Authority and Veteran Franchise Centers. Their industry reputation is stellar and they were exactly what we are looking for,” said IFPG founder Don Daszkowski. Omholt agrees that the strategic alliance will provide a win-win arrangement for the organizations and positions both IFPG and TEA/VFC as the preeminent leaders in the franchise brokerage space. “The alliance makes sense from all angles and allows us to better serve our clients with an enhanced infrastructure and best-of-breed resources,” said Omholt.

Interview with Isaiah Brown, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM franchisee

I had been working for 1-800-FLOWERS.COM for 16 years prior to becoming a franchisee. I started out literally getting my hands dirty – and pricked, and cut – as a flower cutter in a retail location in Brooklyn. It’s the store I own now, although we’re in a new location. I worked my way up to being a district manager in New York. In 2002, [Vice President of Retail and Franchising ] Ted Marlowe approached me about buying one of the company stores they were looking to franchise. Apparently [company founder] Jim McCann had taken note of my work and my commitment to the company, and had recommended me to Ted as someone who might be a good franchise candidate.
