Environment Control Building Maintenance Company was founded in 1963 by Daryl Kraft. Mr. Kraft purchased and operated a small commercial janitorial company just to "make ends meet." By the time graduation approached, his commitment to quality service had earned him a growing customer base. In 1970, Mr. Kraft began to offer franchise opportunities and further refined his cleaning system and procedures. The program continues to incorporate the ongoing experience of over 50 independent EC companies in 19 states. In 1997, after 34 years of being based in Anaheim, California, Mr. Kraft relocated Environment Control's Home Office to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
