Hotel Indigo was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in October 2004. By the next year two other locations had been developed, both in Illinois. The first international Hotel Indigo was in Ottawa and today there are locations through out the U.S. as well as Canada, China, Costa Rica and the U.K. There are two recently opened locations in both Philadelphia, PA as well as Traverse City, MI. All Hotel Indigo facilities are located in intriguing and beautiful cities and regions, taking the local culture, history and character as inspiration. This first-class hotel focusing on providing seasonal décor (including music, artwork, signs and scents) in public areas of the facility as well as provide ever changing guestroom décor to reflect the areas current colors and trends including modern and traditional murals, bedding, area rugs and toiletries. Today there are over 4,400 locations owned by InterContinental Hotel Group, and is still looking to expand.
