Legacy Home Inspections began as a small home-based business located in Kansas City, Missouri. The spark that launched the company came from a seemingly benign experience. In the summer of 2013, the founder, Robert Ladd, was working as a consultant for a business seminar company. He was invited by his wife, a Realtor, to accompany her on a home inspection. It was there he discovered his future.

After a thorough investigation into the home inspection business, he was amazed at how fragmented the industry was. Most of the inspection companies in Kanas City were one-man offices, with a background in construction, but little knowledge of marketing. He quickly put his 20+ years of sales experience and 5+ years of public speaking skills to work.

What followed were several years of quick expansion as marketing campaigns, customer referrals and sound business principles began to pay off. Remarkably, in less than 3 years, Legacy Home Inspections, went from a fledgling start-up with zero debt to the largest home inspection company in Kansas City, grossing more than $1M in its third year.

Wishing to expand this success beyond the local market, Robert chose franchising as the next step. Through rigorous adherence to the founding principles, practices, and procedures as implemented by our franchisees, Legacy Home Inspections will become the McDonald’s of the home inspection industry.
