Newk’s uniqueness stems from its classic charm. A newer chain, started in the 2000s, Newk’s menu thrives on fresh ingredients, timeless flavors and family atmosphere. The franchise did not give in to the 21st century computerized trends, keeping things simple with an “order first, seat yourself” atmosphere. The traditional menu might seem boring, but the eatery prides itself on its culinary twist of flavors. The success of Newk’s can be attributed to its efficiency and business model, which works like clockwork even at the busiest times of day. Customers enjoy good food, at a good price, in good time.
Newk's Eatery & Express Cafe Franchise History
Founded in 2004, Newk’s Eatery began in Oxford, Mississippi. Don Newcomb, Debra Bryson and Chris Newcomb coined the name “Newk’s” as an abbreviation of the surname Newcomb. After having much success with their previous business venture, McAlister’s Deli, they trio decided to focus on Newk’s. They sold McAlister's Deli and began opening Newk's Eateries. With locations opening as recently as 2014, the franchise has experienced immediate success.
