The Beginning of Quiznos

Quiznos’ baguette style bread, custom dressings and special recipes were created at the premiere Quiznos location in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1981 by Jimmy Lambatos and Todd Disner, Quiznos became a popular sandwich shop known for toasted submarine sandwiches. The oven-baked sandwiches he enjoyed growing up in New York inspired Lambatos to heat the subs, and it quickly became a signature element. Two years after opening the first location, Quiznos started franchising, and has since grown to more than 2,000 shops across the world.
