Bandana's Bar B.Q.

Bandana’s Bar-B-Q is a Southern-style barbecue restaurant chain offering a variety of pork, beef, chicken and ribs specially prepared over a pit of select hardwoods to create the Bandana’s signature smoked flavor. Bandana’s meats are prepared with a ‘dry rub’ and cooked sauceless, then hand-cut to order straight from the smoker. The cooking process is slow, taking about 14 hours for pork and special bee cuts, five hours for ribs and chicken, and the amazing flavor and tenderness of the meat is well worth the time it takes to cook it to perfection. The Bandana’s wood smokers operate 24 hours a day, so customers can ‘smell that smoke’ the minute they enter Bandana’s. That’s the smell of something cooking.

Bandana’s relies on a high-volume crowd of barbecue lovers that come back again and again, and Bandana’s customers are the most important ingredient to the company’s success. Bandana’s wants all its franchise partners to succeed to the fullest, so they offer the franchise owner and two employees to participate in an initial training course of about five weeks, providing instruction in kitchen duties, customer service techniques, and administrative procedures involved in running a Bandana’s Bar-B-Q the right way. Refresher training courses follow. Also, Bandana’s franchisees receive periodic visits from a franchise representative, who provides guidance and quality control. Of course, ongoing support is always available from the corporate office.
