Orangetheory Fitness is a heart rate based interval training gym franchise that uses the scientific research behind excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC, to deliver an intense and gratifying work out. At Orangetheory, members participate in scheduled workout class programming led by certified trainers and coaches. The theory of Orangetheory is that EPOC helps members burn calories even after the workout, leading to lasting results. The company offers one hour workouts broken up into cardiovascular work and strength training. Orangetheory fitness caters to all fitness levels, including teens ages 16 and up. The programming at Orangetheory is science based on varying movements in an effort to help members to avoid plateaus and boredom.
Full Franchise Information
Orangetheory fitness is different than other gyms because of its mix of treadmill work, TRX suspension training and free weight use. The franchise's success thrives on energy. Creating an energetic environment, Orangetheory fitness uses a 5-zone heart rate interval training, thus creating the ultimate workout. Unlike traditional membership gyms, Orangetheory fitness is similar to personal training with an instructor, but in a group setting. A lot of attention is paid to members’ needs. The energetic instructors provide members with the motivation to meet their goals and to “get up and go.” Classes are small, generally set up for just 24 people. Furthermore, the entire facility is orange because the color is said to inspire people to achieve more.
