Overview

Proshred franchises the right in the U.S. to sell on-site mobile security services for the destruction and disposal of documents and other sensitive materials. Proshred’s customers are businesses and other organizations that need to maintain the confidentiality of their written information, whether for competitive reasons, legal requirements or otherwise. Proshred’s solution allows customers to witness the destruction of their paper-based records on site.

The franchisee will receive an exclusive territory with a population of approximately one million people, defined by postal zip codes. The franchisee will operate from premises approved by the franchisor. The franchisee maintains rights to his/her exclusive territory during the term of the franchise agreement even if the population increases, although the franchisor may reexamine the size of the franchisee’s territory at the time of renewal of the franchise agreement and make modifications based on the then-current standards in granting new franchises. The franchisor may offer to sell the franchisee an option to acquire one or more additional territories. The option will cost $5,000 per territory and remain in effect for a period of three years.
