About Yesco

Yesco was originally founded in 1920 by Thomas Young as the Thomas Young Sign Company. The Thomas Young Sign Company specialized in lighted signs, wall painted advertisements, gold leaf window lettering, and coffin plates. The Thomas Young Sign Company was renamed the Young Electric Sign Company when Henry Schutte and Ben Jones joined the company and they expanded into neon tube signs in the late 1920s. Despite difficulties in the economy, Yesco continued to expand and grow their business.

Today, Yesco continues to offer full service custom sign manufacturing as well as creative design, engineering, leasing, financing, and maintenance agreements. Yesco is currently undergoing a rebranding to become Prismview, a Samsung Electronics Company and has seen significant investments and international sales growth as part of the Samsung acquisition.

Franchising Information

Yesco franchising is designed for existing sign and lighting businesses looking to expand their lighting maintenance and repair business and for entrepreneurs looking to expand into the lighting maintenance and repair business.

Yesco franchises are built on a very proactive model of sign maintenance and repair. Instead of waiting for the phone to ring, patrollers drive predetermined routes and log sign outages in Yesco’s proprietary software. Sales professionals then call the businesses with outages and secure a service call. Technicians can then complete the service call and gain the business.

Being a Yesco franchise allows franchisees access to Yesco’s proprietary technology Servizio, purchasing power, training and support, and Yesco National Service, which brings the value of self performing franchises to national accounts. Yesco’s technology Servizio helps franchisees keep the repair and maintenance side of their business well organized and efficient, allowing franchisees to direct attention to other needed areas, also avoiding the need to manually enter invoices, inventory and other information.

Upon becoming a Yesco franchise, franchisees gain instant access to purchasing power that allows franchises to purchase needed supplies from exclusive venders at exclusive prices. Yesco also provides a strong training and support team. Training teaches franchisees everything they need to know about being a Yesco franchise. Support gives franchisees the ability to bounce ideas off of other experienced sign professionals and to ask questions when needed. Yesco National Service provides customers an opportunity to see that there are experienced Yesco sign repair and maintenance professionals wherever the might need them, bringing value to national accounts and growth to individual franchises. Franchisees also benefit from provided marketing materials.
