Stella's Ice Cream was founded in 2015 by Tammy and Michael Wu in Madison, Wisconsin. They started with a single mobile ice cream cart, serving up unique flavors like goat cheese and honey, blueberry basil, and whiskey caramel.

With a growing demand for their delicious ice cream, the couple opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Madison in 2016. The store was an instant hit, and they soon opened additional locations across Wisconsin in cities such as Milwaukee and the Fox Valley area.
